To the average automobile driver in America today, the sight of a 1962 Dodge Dart on the road may cause surprise and distraction. The one-year-styled, one-of-a-kind Dart, in base, mid-level 330 and premium 440 series, is a fun collectible. The Darts created their own buzz courtesy of distinctive styling, thorough engineering, and optional engines that ranged from vanilla mild to chili-pepper hot. Dodge ensured that the redesigned Dart covered much of the large-car field by offering it in three trim levels and six body styles.

Offered here without reserve is this up-level Dart 440 Suburban Nine-Passenger Station Wagon. Equipped with the powerful 361 engine, it is a black-plate California car from new having been purchased by the museum many years ago and is only now being offered publicly for the first time. Features include original air conditioning, factory AM radio, and factory heat and defrost; all of which function as they did from the factory. The car is believed to be largely original with one high quality repaint many years ago that has held up very well. The car handles beautifully and looks great. The smaller size makes it surprisingly nimble even in today's traffic.
