By the mid-1960s, the Dodge Division of the Chrysler Corporation had become synonymous with performance. Adding to the power under the hood was the luxury that many buyers were also looking for, which was one of the marketing goals of the Custom 880 series. Created to bridge the gap between the Dodge Dart and the entry level full-size Chryslers, this line of vehicles presented plenty of power, lots of creature comfort options and in an attractive package. Finished in Dark Red with black vinyl bench seats, this convertible represents a time when you could have the best of both worlds, when fuel was affordable and miles-per-gallon were for the ?other guy? to worry about. Fitted with power steering, brakes and top, it is also equipped with the factory Music Masterphonic AM radio, push-button heater, and rather rare bumper guards. Basically an original car, it has normal wear and tear with the driver's seat showing the most significant signs of use. Just 1,058 copies of this luxurious convertible built.
