1965 Dodge Polara Convertible
$4,180
383 cid overhead valve V8 engine rated at 325 horsepower, three-speed Torque-Flite automatic transmission, four-wheel power-assisted hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 121.0"
For 1965, most all members of the Dodge passenger car family, except for the Coronet and compact Dart, sported new sheet metal with the Polora, first introduced in 1961, gaining stature and several models with its sporty new looks. Starting with the base price of $3,088 for the convertible, customers could order their cars to suit their tastes and desires with the long list of extras offered. Finished in what appears to be its original medium blue metallic, this car was treated to some cosmetic attention about seven years ago, as a new top was installed. About this same time the interior was done in color-keyed pleated vinyl on the comfortable bench seats with the pattern repeated on the door panels. Equipped with power steering and brakes, it also has a power operated top plus heater-defroster. On our inspection, the radio was missing from the dashboard, but we understand that its location is known. Showing just under 57,900 unverifiable miles, this convertible features a solid body with all the trappings of a great starting point for a world-class restoration.
