$16,500

440 cid overhead valve V8 engine rated at 375 horsepower, 727 Torque-Flite three-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel power assisted drum brakes; wheelbase: 117.0"

As the market for muscle cars started to grow, luxury was beginning to mix with performance, and the Coronet R/T was Dodge's entry into this rich new market. Right from the factory came the ultimate in performance with the biggest engine available pumped up with a giant four-barrel carburetor, backed up by a tricked out suspension system that provided swift and sure footed response. Add to that a mystique in its appearance, devoid of unnecessary trim or ornamentation, and you had a winner. Upon our inspection we found that this is a solid car that has apparently been assembled from original parts as it carries an assigned ID number from the state of New Mexico, but still retains its original WS23 fender tag. The engine appears to be from the proper era and the car is sitting on a set of vintage Magnum 500 wheels with raised white-letter radial tires. The interior is fitted with bucket seats, center-shift console, the all important 150 mph speedometer, and a vintage column-mounted tachometer.
