AUCTION RESULTS: Car was Sold at a price of $82,500

300bhp, 3,967 cc overhead camshaft alloy block and head V12 engine, four-speed gearbox with overdrive, independent front suspension with upper and lower A-arms, coil springs and anti-roll bar, solid rear axle with parallel trailing arms and semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 104.2"

The handsome left hand drive Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 offered here, chassis 06363, was sold new to its first private owner in Milan through the official dealer, M.G. Crepaldi. It was serviced and maintained in 1965 at the Ferrari factory before being exported to the United States in the late 1960s. By April 1971 it was owned by James B. Greer of Malibu, California and was eventually sold in July 1980 to David Osborne of Beverly Hills, who owned the car for over twenty years. During this time, the engine was reportedly rebuilt and the paint and interior were redone as well. Osborne subsequently showed the car at the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance (2004) and the Concorso Italiano in Monterey (2005), among other events. Sold to its current owner in 2005, 06363 was sent to RM Auto Restoration two years later, where it received a thorough internal engine inspection as well as a new water pump, timing chain and exhaust system. More recently, it received an extensive tuneup and was sorted by a noted restorer.

In addition to original handbooks and a work shop manual, the car retains its original Tipo 209 V12 engine (no. 6363) and is accompanied by extensive work and maintenance receipts dating back to Osborne's ownership. Finished in silver blue, it has been driven less than 1,000 miles in the past four years and is a wonderful example of what remains perhaps one of the most drivable and readily enjoyable of Ferrari's GT cars.
