The Model T was introduced in October of 1908 and was a totally new vehicle in comparison to the previous Ford models. It was available in five body styles - touring, coupe, runabout (roadster), town car and landaulet.
The first 2,500 Model T's had minor variations and are considered unique by automotive historians and car collectors.
The first series of Model T cars had two levers, one forward and one reverse, and two pedals but soon afterwards a recall was ordered to refit the cars from two pedals to three and to put reverse on the floor. The change was at no cost to the car owners and most took advantage of it. There are less than a half dozen "two-lever" Model T's knwon to exist today.
