Original 1928 Ford Model A Sedan
Keep in mind this story STARTS in 1992.
Hector Quevedo Abarzua and his son, Hugo Quevedo Liberona, have driven this 1928 Model A Ford some 22,000 miles from Punta Arenas in southern Chile. The father and son team left their home on October 12, 1992, with the equivalent of about $5.00 in their pockets and a dream that Hector had cherished since age 12 ... to visit the Herny Ford Museum. Along the way they stayed in shelters and accepted donations to help them continue their adventure. They arrived at the museum on December 2, 1994. Hector and Hugo have returned to their home. Their automobile, which captures the spirit of adventure and resourcefulness, is now on display as part of the Ford collection.
Photographed at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
