1931 Model A Pickup Truck: By the late 1920's, competition for the lower-priced cars was getting keener each year. In 1928, the Ford Motor Company began production of the Model A, which was still a four-cylinder engine, but utilized a conventional ignition system and transmission. An ever-broadening choice in body styles, color selection, upholstery fabrics and accessories was becoming available.
The 1931 truck pictured here is an example of the Model A pickup which found its way into use on the farms and ranches throughout America, as well as in a great variety of modified versions that served as delivery trucks and vegetable wagons.
