1950 Ford Overview

The 1950 Fords received only minor, cosmetic changes from 1949. Some of these refinements include: recessed gas filler neck, new hood ornament, flat-top horn ring, three-bladed cooling fan, and push button door handles.

Ford offered their 1950 car in two trim levels. The base trim level cars carried the model name "Ford Deluxe" and had rubber window molding, a horn button, one sun visor, and an armrest only on the driver's door. The top trim level, called "Ford Custom Deluxe", included chrome window trim, chrome horn ring, two sun visors, armrests on all doors, passenger assist straps on the "B" pillars, and chrome strips along the lower half of the body.
