1964 Ford Mustang Convertible - White With Blue Top photographed at the Towe Auto Museum in Sacramento, California.
|
This Ford Mustang was produced at the Ford factory in Dearborn, Michigan on April 9, 1964 - the first day of Mustang production. It was sold by a Ford dealer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 17, 1964 - the first day of Mustang sales.
This car is the oldest Mustang Convertible still registered for highway use and is one of the ten oldest Mustangs of any body style in existence.
Being a Florida-bound car, it was ordered with the heater and defrost delete feature and the factory-installed block-off plates are still on the dash and firewall.
This 64 1/2 Ford Mustang has the 260-cid V-8 engine and Cruise-O-Matic transmission.
