Our pictures of Boss Mustang Mustangs were made by our photographers at car museums, car shows, and automobile auctions across the United States.
The Boss 302 Mustang was Fordīs answer to the Camaro Z28 in the Trans Am Racing Series.. It was a well-balanced car, equally at home on the street or track. The performance engine was limited by factory-installed devices to 6000 rpm to keep the owners from "accidentally" blowing them up.
In stock form, the Mustang Boss could do the standing quarter mile in under 7 seconds with speeds topping 100 miles per hour.
In 1971 a total of 1806 Boss 351 Mustangs were produced.
