Grant Motor Car Company

The Grant Motor Car Company was founded in late 1913 by George D. Grant and his brother, Charles A. Grant, in Detroit. Shortly thereafter, the brothers took over a former nail factory in Gindlay, Ohio and moved the company there where it quickly became a full-fledged builder and assembler of automobiles. The Grant company remained in Findlay until 1916 when it relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. The post-war depression on 1921 was the downfall of many small automobile makers, including Grant. The company closed in October 1922, after 11 years in business.

The first Grant cars were small roadsters built on a 90-inch wheelbase and were popular with women drivers because of the manuverability.
