2006 Hartley Highrider Dune Buggy | 2006 Hartley Highrider Dune Buggy 10,000.00 USD Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction Website: www.barrett-jackson.com March, 2008, West Palm Beach, Florida Lot Number 914 Year 2006 Hartley Highrider Dune Buggy CarStyle DUNE BUGGY PROTOTYPE ExteriorColor RED & YELLOW Interiorcolor BLACK Cylinders 4 Engine 2488CC Transmission 4-SPEED MANUAL "The Viking Warrior" is built by El Paso, Texas engineer and dune buggy builder Jim "The Arizona Wizard" Cabral. He spent years thinking about and over 10 months actually building this Hartley High Rider prototype. This is the first car of its kind in the world and is very exciting to drive. It was inspected and approved by the Texas DOT who issued the serial number and title. This car has 180hp and works as well in the dunes as it does on the street. If you crave attention this is your car. Nobody will notice the car in front or behind you. Park next to a $300,000 Bentley and nobody will even notice the Bentley. During testing, I had this car at 70 mph on I-10 and it was very stable and not at all scary. It is truly a treat to drive both on and off the road. Every part on the car was carefully selected by "The Wizard" and it has excellence in its character. As a prototype the value of this particular car can only go up. by Douglas |
