Built throughout the 1960s and 70s, they used American V8 engines, and in 1962 the Iso Rivolta made its debut. The Rivolta has an elegant two-door saloon/coupe body styled by Carrozzeria Bertone that can carry four people in comfort. A 351ci Ford Cleaveland Cobra Jet V8 powers this Iso. Producing an impressive 320hp, enough to keep up with the Ferraris and Lamborghinis on the Autostrada. This beauty is complete with Ford C-6 automatic transmission, power brakes/steering/windows, and air conditioning. Also De Dion rear-end with cooling vents for brakes on all four corners. Repaint and engine rebuild in 2000. This Iso is number 252 of 285 total production. Awards include: “Most Original Example” at an annual meet in 1983, and “Best in Show” at Concours Italiano by the Iso Bizzarrini Owners Club in 2001. by Douglas |
