Signage: This was the first C-Type Jaguar to be shipped to the US in August 1952. It was sold to Chuck Hornburg Inc., which hired Phil to race the car. With Hill at wheel, it scored two 1st place finishes and one 2nd in 1952. Under different ownership, it continued to race through 1957. It was clocked at 15 miles per hour at Bonneville. The car is powered by a water-cooled, double-overhead-cam, 3442cc, six-cylinder engine developing 160 horsepower which is coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. The car was restored in 1986 and the current owner purchased it in 2009.
