Signage: The Jaguar XK-E was the final version of the famous XK-E series that made its debut in 1961. The Original version was powered by Jaguar's famous inline six with a displacement of 3,800 cc and 220 horsepower. In the Series III the engine is a V 12 with a displacement of 5,343 cc and 250 horsepower.
The XKE Type is highly regarded for its styling and advanced design features, which include independent rear suspension with inboard mounted rear disc brakes.
In addition to very popular styling, a powerful engine and very good handling, the E type was less expensive than its competitors such as Ferrari at $27,500 for the V-12 model, Porsche at $10,230 and Mercedes-Benz 300 SL at $10,400.
