With the second series E Type, Jaguar made revisions that focused on improved functionality and drivability while preserving the look of the sexy early cars. They featured a more steeply raked windshield, a roomier interior, improved engine cooling, larger tail lights for improved safety, and the finicky triple SU carburetors were replaced with more reliable twin Zenith Strombergs. Today, these are considered the most enjoyable 6 cylinder E Types, sought after by enthusiasts who actually want to drive these cars as they were intended. This Open Two Seater (OTS) fits the bill to a tee. It is finished in stunning black over red leather hides and black softtop. It was the recipient of a ground-up, show-level restoration in the 1990's that is still showing extremely well.
