This 1961 Jaguar XKE-Type Series 1 3.8 Liter is the most desirable of all the models. It has the pure styling that any knowledgeable owner desires. The vehicle was purchased from a car collection in Beverly Hills, California, 15 years ago. As a former XKE judge, I know every nut, bolt, and washer has been checked for authenticity. The car has never seen Winter or salt. It has only been driven to JCNA car shows and exhibitions. In 2004, it won the 5 shows it was entered in before it was retired from competition. It was awarded the 2004 Concours D'Elegance Champion for its class. It has a beautiful red finish and biscuit interior. A new convertible top was installed in the original black color and new carpets in 2004. The car has less then 64,000 original miles. This XKE has had meticulous mechanical maintenance before and during the 14 years I've owned it. It has had a rebuilt cooling system, braking system, clutch, steering rack and suspension. The car drives beautifully. The engine is powerful and never overheats. Included is the full tool kit and manuals. The car has been garaged in a protective bubble and is admired by all who see it. This is a very rare opportunity to own a magnificent example of what is universally considered to be one of the most beautiful cars of all time.
