Jaguar Mark V 1950
The Jaguar MKV was offered in both Drophead Coupe and Saloon models. It was the first Jaguar car to be fitted with 16-inch pressed steel wheels, body-colored hub caps, and rear wing splash pan/rear wheel cover (fender skirts). The "MKV" name was chosen because the design that most pleased Sir William Lyons was the fifth prototype. It may also have been due to the rivalry between Jaguar and Bentley's MK VI.
