Information

Jaguar S-Type & 420: Production for the 3.4S was 10,036; for the 3.8S was 15,135; and for the 420 was 9801. This was between the years of 1963 and 1969. Continuing the Mark II sedan series, the S-Type had a longer tail, a coil-spring independent rear suspension similar to the E-Type. The 420 was the S-Type with squared up nose like the Mark X, a square grille and 4 headlamps. The 420 also sold in England as the Daimler Sovereign with a different grille and trim and was capable of 125 mph. This series was a predecessor to the XJ6.
