Custom 1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler 4x4

258cid/200hp Inline 6 with a 4-speed and power steering. Completely restored mild custom to show/driver specifications. This rust free 1983 Jeep CJ-8 (Scrambler) has been restored/modified from the ground up. The frame, transmission, transfer case, and the front and rear axles were stripped down, cleaned, powder coated and professional rebuilt. The axles have 4.56 gears with rear limited slip and have all new bushings, bearings, and brake compnents (to include new stainless brake lines). The entire Jeep was reassembled using all stainless bolts with the exception of torque specific areas (head bolts, suspension, etc.). The original motor was pulled and professionally rebuilt to include bored .010 iver with all new components (pistons, connecting rods, ect.), new D.U.I single wire distributor, Weber carburetor, Borla stainless headers and custom power coating on engine parts (oil pan, intake, pulleys brackets, p/s, p/b, ect.). It has a new alternator, radiator, starter, and master cylinder. The engine was built for reliability with a slight performance increase as an added benefit. Pro Comp supplied a 4" suspension lift with all new springs, shocks, and pitman arm while Daystar supplied a new 1" kuft prothane body mounts. 35X15.5X15 super swampers are mounted on 15X10 Pro Comp aluminum rims. The exterior paint is a PPG purple pearl prism, and there are 11 coats to include the clear and primer. THe interior is a Gator Guard material to allow easy cleanup. The front and rear tube bumpers are Smittybuilt. There is no bondo or fiberglass on this Jeep. It is the original body and I have included the before pictures to show it was and is rust free. The interior has all new gauges, an Alpine AM/FM/CD with 4 Alpine speakers, Alpine amplifier and subwoofer. It has new Bestop Aquasport front and rear seats, a tilt Grant steering wheel, and the half doors are from a later model Wrangler. The process took about 3 years to finish and the Jeep has 112 miles on it since completion.
