1923 Lincoln Tow Truck Description

This 1923 Lincoln is a Model L seven passenger sedan converted to a tow truck after being involved in a rear-end collision. The rear panels and interior components were removed, a service body with floor panel was fabricated and the vehicle used by the Frank Paradis DeSoto-Plymouth Agency, and Emergency Road Service contract station in Modesto, California.

This Lincoln had a long, sturdy chassis and 90-horsepower engine making it an ideal light truck-type vehicle. It was used by the Paradis Agency until 1948 and carried spare gas, oil, water, 6-volt jumper battery, and miscellaneous tools to stranded motorists on California's highways and byways.
