Just as the world was about to be thrown into global conflict, Ford Motor Company released a completely redesigned line of Lincolns for the 1942 model year with the fabulous Continentals taking the spotlight. Continuing on the Zephyr chassis and running gear, it was refreshing that in an age where mass production meant an endless line of sameness; the Continental was still a hand-finished, built-to-spec vehicle that became an instant "classic" in the truest sense of the word.
