1948 Lincoln Continental Coupe
$16,500
305 cid L-head V12 engine rated at 130 horsepower, three-speed manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 125.0"
It was to be the end of an era when the last original Continentals were produced, but the beauty and style they carried with them would live on for many years to come, eventually prompting Ford Motor Company to reintroduce the idea of a personal luxury car in the mid-1950s with the Mark II line. This example, finished in Valley Green with a complimenting interior with matching leather bolsters and gray-stripe cloth, appears to have had some cosmetic work done a few years ago, but is basically an original vehicle. Showing a bit over 28,650 miles, it is not known if these are actual or if the numbers have rolled over at least once. We note that the radio is missing but the original heater and fender skirts are with the car. It appears to be a fairly rust-free example though we do note some surface rust on the chassis and suspension parts and minor corrosion on some of the floor pans. Considered a Full Classic by the CCCA.
