1936 Plymouth Deluxe P2 Four-Door Sedan - Over 10,000 Classic, Collector and Current Cars and Trucks at RemarkableCars.com.
1936 Plymouth Deluxe P2 Four-Door Sedan
201.3 cid L-head in-line six-cylinder engine rated at 82 horsepower, three-speed manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 113.0"
While to the untrained eye the 1936 Plymouth might not look that much different than the previous season's offering, it was virtually an all new car. A redesigned safety frame, new double-directional body mounts, and revised sheet metal with a lower profile all combined to make this year's car the most popular edition ever with over a half-million sold. Priced at $680 when new, this single-model was so popular it represented nearly half of the total production for this marque that year. Featuring an older cosmetic restoration finished in an attractive dark green, the interior has been fitted with a nylon cloth that closely replicates the original materials, though the head-liner looks to be factory installed to us. Riding on vintage Allstate 6.00 x 16" tires this car shows just over 42,600 miles, which may possibly be from new. We found quite a few vintage parts hiding in the large trunk including a vintage Zenith radio. Like a treasure chest on wheels, this sharp sedan looks like it is ready to go to the lake for a picnic or a business meeting of the highest importance.
