1960 Pontiac Ventura Coupe
Final Bid: $ 22,000.00
This Pontiac is a correct factory 4-speed car with the 425A high output engine. It was the terror of east coast drag strips when new in 1960 because it was equipped with the very rare "McKellar" kit that could be purchased from Pontiac parts. This kit increased horsepower from 3481-IP to 363HP and was also used by NASCAR race teams. The maroon "Morrokide" interior is factory original and in almost flawless condition. The exterior has been refinished in original GM lacquer and is the much sought after "Coronado Red". The 8 lug wheels where new to Pontiac in 1960 and add a muscle took to this Ventura. One of the rarest options on a Ventura hardtop is full tinted glass, which this car is equipped with. Other options are AM Wonderbar radio, rear speaker, power windows, back up lamps, electric dock, inside tilt mirror, glove box lamp, parking brake lamp, courtesy floor lamps, retractable trunk lamp, left outside mirror, instrument panel pad, Safe-T-Track differential and spare tire cover. The engine has been recently gone through and runs very strong as it should. 1960 Pontiac 2 door hardtops are considered by collectors as one of the best exterior designs ever offered by General Motors
