When the 1938 Pontiacs were introduced they were promoted as being "better looking, better built and a better buy." With smoother transmission shifting with improved synchronizers, larger generator and refinements to the cooling system, these were the best Pontiacs up to that time. Considered to be in the lower-medium price field, the in-line eight was about as powerful as you could hope for, with a higher rating than the even the Ford V8. This beautiful example has been given a full restoration and is finished dark blue with tan mohair fabric for the seats and door panels. When started up, the engine sounds strong showing this is turn-key ready for the road or show. Among its accessories are a rare vintage radio, factory heater, and clock, while the outside is adorned with trim rings, fender skirts, and the wide whitewall tires. With a base price of $898, it was attractively priced and its looks today are just as radiant as when it was new.
