1957 Porsche 356A Speedster (Sold)

1957 Porsche 356A Speedster (Sold)
1957 Porsche 356A Speedster (Sold) This is a 1957 Porsche 356 A Speedster. This local Southern California car was recently restored by a well known and respected Porsche shop. This numbers matching Speedster was manufactured May 15th, 1957 and comes with its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity showing its original factory options. The car is finished in its original factory color combination of white with red leatherette which highlights its extremely straight body. The car drives just the way it did when it rolled off the assembly line. All the mechanicals are completely fresh. The chrome and stainless are flawless and the paint is deep and glossy. At the time of restoration the owner elected to add the 1963 356 Hubcaps as he preferred the look. This car retains all of its original body panels and is ready for the road or show circuit. There will be no disappointments with this fantastic Speedster. In 1930, Ferdinand Porsche established his design studio, Porsche Konstruktions, GmbH, in Stuttgart. During World War II, the firm was relocated to Austria where in 1948 Porsche designed and built his first open car, pictures of which are listed below. In August, 1948, production of the now-famous 356 Porsche was begun. After building 52 cars, the plant was relocated back to Stuttgart, Germany.
