This Phantom II was ordered for demonstration purposes by the London dealer, Jack Barclay, Ltd., who specified that the engine was to be tuned for speed and to feature coachwork by Gurney Nutting. Shortly after the car was delivered to the dealer, it was sold to Hugo Cunliffe-Owen, 1st Baronet of Bray, in the County of Berkshire. The current owners purchased the Phantom II in 2007. It has undergone a complete body-off restoration.
