In April 1955, Rolls-Royce introduced a new and beautiful replacement for the Silver Dawn. Designated the Silver Cloud, the new model retained the traditional massive frame, seperate from the coachwork. Rolls-Royce invested large amounts of money to build this new chassis, which is fifty percent more rigid than its predecessor. This was due, in part, to the frame being welded together rather that using rivets.

Silver Cloud production from 1955 to 1959 was 2,359 automobiles, including 157 chassis fitted with custom coachwork.

Years of Production: 1955 to 1966
