1928 Pierce-Arrow Series 81 Philips Convertible
This 1928 Pierce-Arrow convertible has a unique aluminum body custom-built by Philips Custom Body Company of Warren, Ohio. This was the last year that aluminum would be used extensively in Pierce-Arrow bodies. Also different on this car are the bracketed headlights instead of the standard Pierce-Arrow headlights that were flared into the fenders. The headlight lenses on this car were made by Bausch and Lomb, the leading maker of fine optical glass.
