1959 Corvette FI Convertible
Equipped with a Fuel injected 283 CI 290 HP engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The exterior is Inca Silver with a Black convertible top and the interior is Red. This is 1 of 142 Corvettes built in 1959 equipped with heavy duty brakes and suspension. These Corvettes are also know as "Big Brake Corvettes" and were originally designed for racing. Other interesting features include, quick steering, 3.70 posi-traction rear-end, 15 x 5 1/2" wheels and Radio Delete, which are more examples of this Corvettes racing design. This car is numbers matching and has recently undergone a complete frame off restoration by Paragon Reproductions. It is being featured in the Corvette Enthusiast Magazine, which is following the restoration over several articles. Corvette Enthusiast staff will be present at the auction to complete their series with a cover shot of the car, possibly while it is on the auction block.
