1910 Franklin Model D Touring
The ignition system and engine cooling were improved on the 1910 Franklin cars. A fly-wheel which incorporporated new type of fan was developed. New cylinder jackets directed the cool air moved by the fly wheel downward over the valves and tops of each cylinder. In another improvement, the spark advance lever was eliminated by the use automatic magneto governor. The car featured a wooden frame and an air-cooled, 4-cylinder, 28-hp engine. The price of the Model D Touring car was $2,800.
