LOADED started with a blank piece of paper and a wild idea, and ended up starting a new trend. In the years to come there will be projects that imitate this style, but LOADED will always be the first. Since January 2005, LOADED had been seen in 29 magazines and featured on 6 covers, including Rodder's Journal, Rod & Custom, and the Goodguys Gazette. LOADED has had more magazine coverage than anything in recent memory. The judges have liked LOADED too: "Street Rod of the Year" 2005 Goodguys Nationals, "Darryl Starbird $20,000 Gold Award" 2005 Starbird show in Tulsa, "Chip Foose Design Excellence Award" 2005 Grand National Roadster Show, "C.A.S.I. Cup" 2005 Detroit Autorama, "Washington Cup" 2005 Spokane Auto Boat and Speed Show. LOADED's image is currently being extensively used in promotional materials by these companies: Clean Tools, The Rodder's Journal, Sherm's Plating, Goodguy's Rod & Custom Association. Built by Pinkee's Rod Shop, LOADED is "one-off" everything. Recently, all of the well-known projects have gone to great lengths to hide all the mechanical working parts, using engine covers, belly pans and other resourceful ways to hide the bolts. This project went in the opposite direction. The mechanics are carefully engineered, beautifully finished, and exposed wherever possible. Even the floor of the pickup box was left out to expose the ingenious rear suspension. The interior is drop-jawed amazing with innovations wherever you look.
