1969 Plymouth Roadrunner
Color: GREEN
Transmission: AUTOMATIC
Cylinders: V8
Engine Size: 440 6 PACK
Horsepower: 395
A museum quality rotisserie restoration was recently completed by Mopar specialists at Totally Auto, Inc on this rare "M" code 440/6 barrel "lift-off hood" Roadrunner. The "M" denotes "High Performance 440 special order" for these limited production roadrunners. A total of only 375 automatic "M" code hardtop Roadrunners were ever manufactured in a half year run. Built as a factory light weight racer, the "M" code Roadrunners were manufactured without wheel caps or trim. This roadrunner is heavily documented with the following: the motor vehicle purchase contract, original manufacturer's window sticker, original broadcast sheet and original fender tag. Featured in the following publications prior to its restoration : Mopar Collector's Guide-March 1999 High Performance Mopar Magazine- January 2000. The 1969 440-6 Roadrunner is acclaimed by Muscle Car Review Magazine, to be Mopar's fastest production car and the 3rd fastest muscle car of all manufacturers. With street performance in mind, it is unusual that the "lift-off hood" Roadrunners were ordered with any options, though this Roadrunner was ordered with the torqueflite transmission, 3 speed windshield wipers, ultra rare custom sill moldings, AM radio, rear seat speaker and police handling package. The exceptional condition of this Roadrunner is evidenced by its original sheetmetal and all numbers matching drivetrain. A rare and stunning car with 33,588 documented original miles.
