An original California documented triple black 4 speed big block 428PI (428 police interceptor), Shelby GT500. All matching numbers in absolute pristine condition. This car has its own pedigree, it was formerly owned by Richard Dashut, one of the producers for Fleetwood Mac and has been personally autographed by Carroll Shelby. Produced on January 31,1968, #1840 off the Metuchen assembly line. There was no expense spared on this Shelby's total frame-up restoration that was professionally completed in 1993. All components and all parts used in the restoration were OEM factory original not reproduction or aftermarket. It also sports the GT equipment group, visability group, sport deck rear seat, power steering, power front disc brakes, tilt-away steering column, AM radio and interior decor group. The 4-speed cars are the most highly sought after. This vehicle is in the Shelby registry. This could be one of the finest examples of the Shelby GT500 available today.
