1942 Hudson Commodore Eight Sedan
128bhp 254.4 cu. in. eight-cylinder engine, two-bbl downdraft Carter carburetor, drive-Master gear shifting system (semi-automatic transmission) with overdrive and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 121"
This low mileage Commodore Eight with 37,000 original miles features classy new silver gray paint, fresh period blue and gray complementing interior andbrilliant sparkling chrome. The powerful 254.4 cubic inch Straight Eight motor was completely rebuilt and fully detailed for show. The Commodore Eight comes fully dressed with rear bumper wing tips, bumper
guards, wide whitewall tires and a rev saving overdrive unit. It should also be noted that both the heater and novel Hudson radio is fully operational.
A new six-tube radio was offered as optional equipment in 1942 that was very unique. The driver pressed a button on the floor with his foot and it would automatically change to any of the five pre-selected stations. A slight depression of the button would shutoff the volume.
Few 1942 Hudsons survive out of the just over 40,000 units built. Hudson was known for its performance and handling, which makes this rare low mileage eight-cylinder the perfect automobile for cruising in America.
