The Land Rover presented here is a 1969 Series II seven passenger with only 44,000 registered miles. It features four forward gears with a transfer box creating eight forward and two reverse gears, fully floating front and rear axles, and is (of course) fourwheel drive. Very recently redone in original red and cream, the interior has been freshened with new black leather front seats. Some time ago a tape deck and speakers were installed, as well as a stainless steel floor liner.
Most automobile manufacturers have in their lineup atleast one SUV model. Land Rover clearly set the standard over 40 years ago and has remained the benchmark by which all other SUV’s were and still are measured. A pure off road vehicle with the spare mounted on hood, this Land Rover is ultra rugged; it challenges its future owner to tackle the off-road and to experience the essence of a Land Rover and all its capabilities.
