Description: 1966 Ford Mustang GT Convertible
271bhp 289 cu. in. overhead valve V8 engine, Ford Autolite four-bbl carburetor, column-mounted four-speed synchromesh transmission, unitized construction and front disc, rear drum brakes with limited-slip differential. Wheelbase: 108"

This wonderful example of such a desirable Mustang was completely and professionally rebuilt from the ground up and fully detailed to the exact factory specs – except for the fitting of redline radial tires, rather than redline bias ply for the sake of safety. A thorough examination will reveal no other deviation from original. All panels appear to be original with the exception of the left quarter panel, which was correctly replaced by a NOS part.

Detailed from stem to stern and top to bottom, this bright red Mustang GT convertible with its new black vinyl interior and complementary black vinyl top will garner enough attention on looks alone. Yet, when you call on the 271 horses hidden under the hood, heads will turn at the sound of that pure, unadulterated power.

Over 600,000 Mustangs were built in 1966, 72,119 were convertibles – and only a fraction of those were K-code GTs – arguably the most desirable first generation Mustang ever built.
