The example offered here represents excellent value as it combines all the elegance of the longer wheelbase Packards with the affordability of the 733 models. Offered from a private California collection, this lovely two tone green example is in presentable overall condition. The recipient of a full restoration many years ago, we understand it remains in good overall order and would make an excellent tour car. The engine and bay, interior and brightwork all remain in quite presentable overall order and show the expected signs of use from an older restoration.
Complete with many of the desirable amenities, including whitewall tires, cowl mounted spot lamps, single center driving lamp, wind wings, grille guard, “doughnut chaser” Adonis hood ornament and the always useful rear mounted windshield with wind wings, it is ready to enjoy on tours and events. Additionally, the Packard features the clean look of the single rear mounted spare tire showing off its lovely profile and sweeping fender lines.
A handsome example in an attractive color scheme, this Packard 733 SP Phaeton is an elegant motor car in every respect. The vendor reports the car has always been maintained for intermittent use, although it is recommended that a thorough mechanical service be executed prior to long tour or more regular. Within the auction estimate, this example represents a great value as either a starter classic or alternative tour car for the lover of open cars.
