1941 Packard Model 1901 110 Coupe
100bhp 245 cu. in L-head inline six-cylinder engine, four main bearings, Stromberg carburetor, selective synchromesh three-speed transmission, separate frame and four-wheel hydraulic brakes disc wheels. Wheelbase: 122"
This redesigned Packard was the last of the One-Ten models. That nomenclature would be dropped in 1942. The dramatic blue and gold Packard 110 Coupe offered here is an older restoration that has been completely refurbished since being recently removed from a museum’s collection. A frame-up restoration decades before had preserved the car well. The original sixcylinder engine was fully checked and serviced. The carburetor was rebuilt, as was the fuel pump. The gas tank was renewed, the entire braking system overhauled and new wide whitewall tires fitted.
Cosmetically the chrome and stainless was repolished or replaced, and worn or faded paint areas were professionally blown-in where necessary. The brown corduroy and velour interior, although not original but practical and hard wearing, was thoroughly cleaned and rejuvenated. The original radio and heater were repaired and are now fully operational. The engine and engine compartment are clean and tidy with some detailing.
This Coupe is a wonderful driving Packard and ready to join the local cruise nights or club events anywhere you wish to drive.
In 1941 Packard ads claimed that year’s models were, “brimming with beauty.” Thoroughly tested at Packard’s famous proving grounds at high speeds, though sand traps, water crossings, up ridiculously steep hills and on the banked track, the tough One-Ten confirmed it was true to its heritage. The One-Ten with its distinguished, traditional style of an earlier era had a classic look that would fail to reappear following World War II.
