1957 Ford Thunderbird
312 cu. in. overhead valve V8, automatic transmission, wishbone front suspension and live rear axle and four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase: 102"
This example, with only four owners from new, is a truly fine example of the classic T-Bird. The vendor reports that this T-Bird was originally owned by a California school teacher who enjoyed the car regularly and put the majority of the 72,000 miles on the car. The second owner, a Nevada resident, purchased the car following the teacher’s passing and subsequently placed the Thunderbird in storage for approximately 15 years with the aim of some day restoring the car to its original glory. However, it was under the T-Bird’s third ownership that the car received a thorough restoration to concours standards. Completed in 1997, the Thunderbird had been driven only 99 miles when the vendor purchased the car later that year.
Since purchasing the triple white T-Bird, the Michigan vendor has thoroughly enjoyed the car while carefully maintaining its excellent overall condition. Used sparingly and only on perfect sunny days, the vendor reports that the T-Bird is in excellent condition with the paintwork, brightwork and fit and finish all showing beautifully. Complete with a host of desirable accessories and options including the Town & Country radio, rare rear deck lid antenna, all correct period decals, two sets of floor mats, power steering, power brakes, power windows, car cover and other miscellaneous items. Additionally, this beautiful Thunderbird is complete with both hard and soft tops as well as a handy hard top cart making this example even easier to own and enjoy.
This lovely, triple white classic T-Bird is a showstopper and we encourage close examination, as there are only a few examples this well-optioned and presented in such highly impressive overall condition.
