This custom design combines the classic styling of the 1950's touring cars with today's state-of-the-art powertrain and chassis technology. The body has been structurally reinforced and enhanced for a clean, beautiful look while maintaining the critical styling queues of the era. Functional and cosmetic enhancements include such features as: power clamshell tilt front end remote controlled, power opening trunk- remote controlled, power opening doors remote controlled, shaved door handles, frenched headlights, frenched tail light assembly, integrated rear fins, LED running lights and tail lights, smooth firewall and smooth reinforced underbody panel. The specially designed powdercoated steel tube frame provides a safe and rigid platform for the chassis components. The front suspension utilizes Corvette C5 technology while the rear suspension utilizes Corvette C4 technology. Corvette C5 brakes, Boyd Coddington 18" custom wheels and tires and QA1 coilover shock absorbers complete the suspension system. The engine is a highly advanced small block Chevrolet with 383cid coupled with a sophisticated Fuel Induction system. The Hilborn style Fuel Injection system maintains the classic 8 stacks look while covertly utilizing Accel Gen 7 computer technology for true Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). The engine was dynamometer tuned at Lingenfelter Engineering and produced a documented 420hp and 470ft/lb of torque. The engine is coupled to a TCI Automotive high performance GM 700R4 automatic transmission. The environment is controlled with a Vintage Air conditioning system. Both front bucket seats are fully powered operated and every surface of the interior, including the floor, is covered in premium hand-stitched leather. Various luxury appointments include a Flaming River tilt steering column, custom stereo with XM radio, Haneline custom gauges, Lokar shifter and pedals.
