Carroll Shelby defined the concept of hi-performance sports cars for the 1960's and the Cobra is arguably the most recognized performance car of its type. The legendary 1965 427 S/C was the ultimate expression of this highly prized and collectable car. CSX4118 is a very rare, highly-optioned, no expense spared Shelby 427 Cobra S/C. An all aluminum body is considered the finest and this one goes a step further with a hand-formed Kimmins aluminum body from the man who made Cobra bodies for Shelby himself in the early 60's. Every piece of aluminum was hand-fitted and filed to a perfect body/seam match. The engine is an all aluminum Shelby 427 professionally built in Las Vegas under the direction of Kells Automotive and Finish Line Motorsports producing well over 500hp and authenticated with proper dyno sheets. Even more rare and unique, CSX4118 is a 1965 style S/C built as an extra-rigid comp chassis configuration and is one of only two made at the time. The extra triangulation defines the most desirable of structural rigidity. Fully documented with original Build Sheets, specifications, upgrades and documented comp chassis verification. Original options are numerous and include Brembo 4-wheel disc brake package, Tremec 5-speed, Shelby aluminum DANA 44 differential, original 1965 427 Ford Pentroof chrome valve covers, Trigo Pin drive Cobra wheels, Bilstien shocks, 23 gallon fuel cell, HPC ceramic coated side pipes, comp. hood scoop, Smith gauges, spun aluminum racing mirrors, engine oil cooler, aluminum trunk panels and a body that is finished in beautiful Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripes. This car is documented in the Shelby Registry and meets EPA California Smog requirements with a designated SPCNS number.
