$170,000 2008 Barrett-Jackson Auction Scottsdale AZ
This Z16 was the test car for "Popular Hot Rodding" in September 1965 which was the sister magazine to "Super Chevy". It was also featured in "Super Chevy" in December 1981 and May 1990. The car was also featured in "Special Interest Autos" in October 1982. This Z16 is probably the most original in existence with original engine and rear end. Even the interior is original. We did a cosmetic restoration on the frame and painted most of the body. The car retains all of the original sheet metal. This Z16 is listed in the Z16 Registry. It was sold new by Clippinger Chevrolet in Covina, California. Owner history will be furnished with the car.
