2003 Toyota Tundra Monster Garage Custom
$20,000 2008 Barrett-Jackson Auction Scottsdale AZ
In "Terminator 3", machines battle mankind. In Monster Garage it was the other way around -- man against machine. In this episode, Jesse James paid tribute to the radical stunts and ingenuity that made the Terminator movies so awesome. He and his gang took a 2003 Toyota Tundra and transformed it into a tricked out stunt truck capable of launching a motorcycle and driver, while the truck is roaring down the highway.
As the "Tundrinator" rolls along, the passenger side panels slide open revealing a hidden motorcycle and driver ready ride. A hydraulic-powered ramp pushes the bike out and lowers allowing the driver to blast off without skipping a beat. It was crazy cool and now, like the man said, "It's back!" This episode first aired: 6/30/2003 and was also commemorated as the end of a successful first season. The build team was made up of Jesse James, custom-bike builder/designer from West Coast Choppers in Long Beach, CA, Tom Conard, car-maintenance adviser, Toyota, Redondo Beach, CA, Sean Gibbs, welder/pipe fitter, Middletown, CA, Dwaine Jungen, rock-crawler builder, Tucson, AZ, Jeff Mann, production designer, "Terminator 3", "Swordfish", etc., Los Angeles, CA, Paul Moore, custom racecar builder, Seaside, CA, Eric Roy Ortega, fabricator, California Street Rods, Cypress, CA and Monte Rex Perlin, stunt double, "Terminator 3", etc., Los Angeles, CA.
