1994 marked the return of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo after a six year absence from the Chevrolet line-up. To celebrate the model's return, Chevrolet developed this 1994 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 pace car to pace the inaugural Brickyard 400 NASCAR Winston Cup race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Its interior features special beige-and-black leather trim with Brickyard logos stitched into the front seats and Indianapolis Motor Speedway logos stitched into the floor mats and rear seat. Powered by a 200hp DOHC V6 engine, this vehicle was used for publicity photos and press events. It was never used on the track.
