96 Lincoln Towncar Stretch Custom Fire Truck Limo
The team took a 1996 Lincoln Town Car limousine and turned it to a stretched, super-soaker limo. To begin the transformation, the team ripped out the car's midsection and cut the roof so that it would open like a clamshell and allow the main nozzle to come through. A water pump was then installed capable of delivering 1,250 gallons per minute at 1,500 rpm with 150 pounds of pressure and a system of pipes that would deliver water to 2 additional hoses. Emergency lights, a chrome handrail and a diamond-plate step extending from behind the limo's front door to the rear-wheel well rounded out the town car's functional transformation. For its external makeover, House of Kolor really laid it on. The limo received a base coat of Blue-Blood Red paint and two coats of Ice-Red Pearl. Two coats of Mini-Fireball Red metal flake were then applied, followed by one coat of Fireball-Red metal flake and two coats of Candy Apple Red. A coat of clear sealer, KMC Clocker-model wheels and a metal-flake naugahyde roof with French-seam stitches all completed the job. In the end, Jesse and his team had successfully created a 5,000-pound firefighting limousine able to extinguish flames atop a six story building. "Putting out a fire is fine, but I still think we should go to the Oscars and squirt the paparazzi," said Jesse James.
