Reportedly, Ford Motor Company originally spent upwards of $300 million to develop the Edsel, making it one of the most anticipated and expensive research and development projects in Ford's history. This Edsel was manufactured at the Louisville, Kentucky, plant on April 24, 1959, and is 1 of only 7,778 Ranger 2 door sedans ever built. Factory equipped with its original 292cid V8 engine with a 3-speed transmission, 3.56:1 axle ratio, AM radio, courtesy lights, back-up lights and wide white wall tires. This Edsel is nicely appointed. Recently restored and tuned to factory specs, this Ranger boasts of a stunning repaint in the correct President Red and a new interior in the correct silver with black accents and black surf cloth inserts. Riding on newer wide white wall tires, this Edsel Ranger is show and road ready.
