Over $100,000 was spent constructing this superb 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 "R" Code 2-Door Hardtop re-creation. The vehicle has only been driven 500 miles since its restoration. No expense was spared. The vehicle boasts a 700 hp, 428cid Cobra Jet engine backed by a race prepared, trans brake equipped C6 transmission. The engine has been de-tuned down to the current 700hp for street driving. However, with manifold and carburetor change, the engine has shown to produce upwards of 800hp. The vehicle has never been raced. Only track run for dial-in purposes. The car runs straight, fast and consistent high 8 to low 9 second quarter mile times. Frame-off restoration. Too many things to list. Ford only built about 50 originals in 1966.
